SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainable from the start

Sealup has always pursued an ethical and sustainable approach, starting with relationships within the company based on mutual respect. To formalise this long-standing commitment, which began in the 1950s, Sealup implemented an environmental and sustainability management system and obtained UNI EN ISO 14001 certification. It also signed an agreement with a leading textile waste collection and recycling company. In spring 2024, Sealup published its first sustainability report.

SORTED BY COMPOSITION

Since 2020

Since 2020, all production remnants have been sorted by composition and collected by companies that recycle them in full. After selection, the waste is processed according to its composition and intended use through spinning, shredding, garnetting or melting, so that it can be used as raw material once again.

Fabric cutting

Modern artificial intelligence equipment is used by Sealup to cut fabric. This processing phase is essential to achieve a finished product of luxury quality because it allows for extremely high efficiency and cutting precision expressed in millimetres. This has a favourable impact on sustainability, thanks to significant energy savings, less fabric consumption and reduced waste.

Garments made to last over time

Sealup collections have always been designed and made to last. Our entirely Made in Italy manufacturing and design do not follow passing trends or so-called “fast fashion”, but stand the test of time. The high quality of the fabrics and materials, together with the timeless style of Sealup collections, extends the life of garments. Often passed down from one generation to the next as wardrobe essentials, they help save resources and prevent waste.
